Off-White founder Virgil Abloh has joined forces with Mercedes-Benz, curating a unique artwork, Project Geländewagen, reimagining the German carmaker’s G-Class SUV, following the model's 40th anniversary last year.
The project, which 'represents a new vision of luxury that is defined by the sharing of ideas and disciplines', will be premiered digitally on Tuesday September 8, and Bettina Fetzer, Vice President Marketing at Mercedes-Benz, said 'Teaming up with Virgil Abloh, one of the most influential and inspiring creatives of our time, represents Mercedes-Benz's idea of Zeitgeist, co-creation and contemporary luxury - for both our products and our brand. By launching Project Geländewagen now we hope to inspire collaboration and creativity in our global audience'.
